ARTWORK
it is important to get good artwork in order to get good printing results.
artwork 300dpi or greater in one of the following formats (in order of preference): ai, eps, psd, pdf, tiff, jpeg, cdr.
artwork should be sized to 9 inches x 12 inches or greater.
CHECKING DPI & SIZE: if you have photoshop
go to image in the top menu bar, and then down to image size in the window that pops up it will show you image size and dpi
in the document box. you can not just change these numbers and get what you need, you must start with high resolution
art.
to check artwork in windows go to the start
menu in the bottom corner of the screen click either my pictures, my documents, or my computer to find your file. go into
whatever folders you need to to find it. click it once to select it and then go to the file drop down menu at the top.
then click on the summary tab and it should give you the dpi and the size in pixels. and inch equals 300 pixels 9 inches =
2700 pixels, 12 inches = 3600 pixels.
if you don't know where you have you picture saved,
open you graphic program and open your art and click save as. then click my documents, and then my pictures in the list. resave
it there so you can find it.
working in illustrator or another vector program.
if you created your art in adobe illustrator or another vector program such as corel draw, or flexi sign, and others it does
not have a dpi, or size to worry about as long as you send it as a vector file. you can not drop a jpeg into this
program and it's vector unless you do a trace. everything has to be created in the vector program.
